Do you know of someone that has a great Millthorpe story to tell? Nominate them for an oral history. |
We would love to facilitate an oral history recording. Oral histories are stored as part of our historical archives and available for ongoing research and family history searches at the Golden Memories Millthorpe Museum. The recordings are stored as digital files but we also transcribe the interview and give the family a copy of both.
Please fill out one of the the templates (Oral History Nomination template Word or PDF). We will then contact you and the nominee and arrange a suitable time and location to do the oral history.

My House History |
If your local to the 2798 postcode or previously lived in a house in our district, we (Millthorpe & District Historical Society) would love to hear about your house story. We would also love to hear about any other buildings you also own or work in. New or old its all history tomorrow.
In 2017 we did a Historic Homes of Millthorpe book and during this project we discovered there is lots to learn from researching houses. Lots of lovely stories of family events, builders, house modifications, change of owners and indeed change of use of the house came out.
If you provide us with your house story and some photos for our archives, we will do our best to provide you with the original deed and map if we are able to locate it.
