Local Cemeteries

Due to the age and close settlement of the area there are a lot of local cemeteries. These are also managed and cared for by a range of councils and groups. We have access to many of the cemetery listings on CD and also printed copies. These can be accessed through a visit to the Museum or by a Family History Request. Cemeteries in the Blayney Shire Council area can be accessed online at the Council website - here.

Millthorpe Cemetery

Millthorpe cemetery is located on Park Street (Millthorpe Road) on the northern side of the Village. The cemetery sits on a western facing rise between St Mark's (Church of England) and St Canice's (Catholic) churches.

Millthorpe (or as it was then know Spring Grove) cemetery was started around 1870's. Before this residence where buried at Byng, Guyong or Orange.

Millthorpe Cemetery is controlled and operated by Blayney Shire Council.

Guyong Cemetery

Guyong cemetery is located at East Guyong, just off the Great Western Highway on the southern side. The cemetery is located on a rise and has lovely views back to the west and also north.

Spring Hill Cemetery

Spring Hill Cemetery is located on Warburton Lane, just to the east of Spring Hill village. The cemetery closed in 1977. It is managed by Orange City Council.
